Volunteer Opportunities

RACC offers many volunteer opportunities for certificate holders to participate in the RACC organization. These opportunities can count towards the required contact hours for recertification.

Call for Volunteers to the RACC 2024 CFRA Item Writing, Item Review, and Exam Review Committees

The Board of Directors is seeking candidates to serve on RACC’s Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) Item Writing, Item Review, and Exam Review Committees.

The Item Writing Committee creates questions and multiple-choice answer combinations for the CFRA exam question bank, focusing on specific areas of need or changes in research administration. Item Writing volunteers can expect a time commitment of 10-12 hours per year with one Contact Hour earned for each accepted item.

The Item Review Committee helps refine, validate, and approve potential questions for the CFRA exam question bank. Item Review volunteers can expect a time commitment of 6-9 hours per year with one Contact Hour earned for each hour volunteered.

The Exam Review Committee reviews the CFRA exam form to ensure questions are not duplicated in similar fashion, that identified references are up-to-date, and that questions are not obsolete. Exam Review volunteers can expect a time commitment of 10-15 hours per year with one Contact Hour earned for each hour volunteered.

Committee members serve a term of two years, beginning November 1, 2024. Members of the committee in good standing may, if asked to by the committee Director, serve two consecutive terms.

To serve, you must:

  • Be a Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) and maintain the credential throughout the term of service.
  • Participate in virtual sessions separated into two-hour blocks over multiple weeks.
  • Sign the RACC Board Code of Ethics, Non-Disclosure Statement, Conflict of Interest Statement, and Volunteer Agreement forms.

Complete this form to indicate your interest by October 18, 2024. If you are selected, a committee member will reach out to you after the deadline.
